FOR INSURANCE PROVIDERS

Bionics helps you navigate the complex and untidy O&P landscape with knowledge and expertise you can count on.

We work closely with insurance companies-both on a per-case basis and a consulting basis-to find answers that translate into maximum value.

Bionics follows all Medicare and County Medical Services guidelines for patient care and billing. We have had a contract with the Veterans Affairs orthotic and prosthetic clinic for more than two decades. We are contracted with many insurance providers; if you would like to develop a contract with us please contact us.

Bionics is a nationally-recognized leader. We are a California State-licensed facility for durable medical equipment and are certified by both the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics and the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists. We are also proud to be home to the only Academy Fellow in the city of San Diego.

Bionics works hard to understand patient needs, and we focus on creating a solution that is right for each patient, and enhances their quality of life. Our comfortable facilities are conveniently located and fully accessible.

Bionics' staff of highly-trained and experienced professionals is always available to consult or answer your questions.

OUR PROCESS

  • Bionics orthotics and prosthetics operates on a prescription-only basis.

  • Patients are called within 24 hours of receiving a prescription for an appointment and the authorization process, if necessary, is begun.

  • In-patient or emergency requests are taken care of the same day or as soon as possible after the initial request.

  • All patients are evaluated using standardized evaluation techniques prior to being casted or fit with an orthotic or prosthetic device.

  • All orthoses and prostheses require follow-up appointments that allow us to ensure that the fit continues to be excellent and that the patient is following the wear guidelines and is donning the device accurately.
